SPLASH 2017
Sun 22 - Fri 27 October 2017 Vancouver, Canada

Students

Students can register for the conference at a reduced rate. There are several ways that students may receive financial support for participation at the SPLASH 2017 conference. All students receiving support from PAC funding, Student Research Competition, and Student Volunteers (but not from PLMW) will be required to create two blog posts.

ACM SIGPLAN PAC Funds

The ACM SIGPLAN PAC Funds support travel, accommodation and registration for students who have a paper at the conference or associated workshops, see the SIGPLAN Professional Activities Committee page.

Student Volunteers

Student volunteers are vital to the efficient operation and continued success of SPLASH. The student volunteer program is a chance for students from around the world to participate in the conferences whilst assisting us in preparing and running the event. In return, student volunteers receive free registration and access to all sessions. See the Student Volunteer page for more information.

Student Research Competition (SRC)

Tye deadline for submission is 17th July.

PL Mentoring Workshop (PLMW)

The SPLASH 2017 Programming Languages Mentoring Workshop (PLMW) is aimed at advanced undergraduates and first/second year graduate students. The workshop aims to attract students to research careers in programming languages and software engineering, to de-mystify the graduate school experience, and to offer first-hand perspectives on graduate study from recent Ph.D. graduates, young scholars, and senior researchers. Applicants from groups underrepresented in computing are especially welcome. A limited amount of travel funding is available to support some student participants. See the PLMW page for application instructions, which will be available on or before June 23rd, 2017.
